Let us pray for Colorado’s Weld County Clerk and Recorder (Carly Koppes). We pray that she would successfully take part in representing this county according to justice, equity, wisdom, and righteousness as commanded in the Word of the Lord.

1. Pray for the true conversion of Ms. Koppes as one who will give account to God, truly and sincerely professing their allegiance to Him that their conversion and subsequent life is coupled with a desire for obedience and a growing knowledge of God’s will, such that their sincerity and love for Christ would shine through their actions and be a worthy witness even in the face of persecution and political opposition. (Colossians 1.9-13, Psalm 2.10-12)
2. Pray that she would recognize her position as ministers of God for good, that she would promote good according to God’s Word as she manages the election department, the motor vehicle department, and the recording departments of Weld County. That she might hold to and reinforce the standards of morality as described in the Scripture and not in the conventional wisdom of the world and society. (Romans 13.1-6, Deuteronomy 17.14-17)
3. Pray for that she would not be swayed by prejudice, personal advantage, inattention to duty, past afflictions and troubles, favoring of friends, general immoral tendencies of the culture and social media, etc. in the administration of her office, but would be genuinely concerned for the standards of morality, fairness, and justice under God. (Ecclesiastes 5.8)
4. Pray for wisdom for Mr. Kopes that she would execute a godly office with humility, integrity, and honor as a governmental official of Weld County, and that she would be given strength to oppose unjust laws and immoral policies and procedures handed down from local, state, and federal government but that she would seek to govern her departments with honor and integrity according to the Word of God. (Proverbs 3:27, 20.14, James 2:9)
