Prayers for Speaker Nancy Pelosi

Let us pray for the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, that she would take part of leading the nation according to justice, equity, wisdom, and righteousness according to the Word of the Lord.

Pray for the conversion of the Speaker of the House to Christ, that she would assist in the rule over this nation as one who will give account to God, truly and sincerely professing her allegiance to Him. (Psalm 2.10-12)
Pray that Speaker Pelosi and all those with whom she governs, would recognize their positions as ministers of God for good, that they would promote the good according to God’s Word, and discourage and punish evil, again, as ministers of God for good. (Romans 13.1-6)
Pray that Speaker Pelosi would seek to do good for the nation, according to the standard of morality set forth in the Scripture. (Deuteronomy 17.14-17)
Pray that the Lord would turn the Speaker's heart on the issues of abortion, excessive taxation, indebtedness, the welfare state, the need for local police in our cities, and reject the promotion of false religions. (Proverbs 21.1)
Pray that the Lord would turn the Speaker's heart and affections away from the world, and away from evil and wickedness.
Pray that the Lord would cause the Speaker to be drawn to Him, His Word, His people, and His ways. (Exodus 34.12)
Pray that the Speaker would flee all wicked and divisive courses, including speaking evil of another, criticizing and demeaning another, murmuring concerning another, and that instead, the Speaker would encourage and speak well one another - including her leaders and other governmental officials thus demonstrating to the American people the character of a righteous and honorable leader, worthy of her position as appointed by God as a minister for good. (Isaiah 58.1-12; Ephesians 4.11-16)
