Let us pray that all in the Church would encourage one another to love and obedience by good example.

1. Pray for the Church, that she would set a good example to the world in love, encouragement to that which is good, faith and obedience to Christ, repentance from sin, speaking the truth, and all other things. (Colossians 4.2-6)
2. Pray for the Church, that her officers and members would never discourage the hearts of one another in the faith, that we would live before the Lord together, striving together for the advancement of the Kingdom of the Lord, setting a good example of diligence and perseverance before one another. (Philippians 1.27-30)
3. Pray for the church, that she might set a godly example; of holiness in separating from that which is evil, of pursuing that which is good, of studying to know our duty, of preferring and honoring one another in love, of sacrificing for one another, leading each other in that which pleases the Lord. (1 Timothy 4.12)
4. Pray that we would never discourage one another’s heart away from obedience, but always toward it, that we would not suffer sin upon our brother or sister, but reprove it, that we would live before one another in such a way so as to gain credibility when such difficulty comes, that the body of Christ might be edified. (Deuteronomy 1.21-28)
5. Pray for ready hearts to follow the good examples we do have in history, and today, in faith, in perseverance, in truth and standing for the truth, in holiness and refusal of evil, and pray for humility that recognizes our need for such examples. (Hebrews 11.32-40)
6. Pray that the people of God would encourage one another by their mutual love, friendship, commitment to the truth, even in the face of suffering, affliction, and persecution. (Daniel 3.8-18)
7. Pray for a healing of division in the body through proper and loving confrontation regarding pure doctrine, godly practice and obedience, firm yet loving counsel and example, that they who are of the contrary part might be ashamed, and brought to acknowledge the truth. (Titus 2.1-10)
8. Pray that we all would fix our eyes upon Jesus and follow His example of sacrifice, speaking the truth, persevering in duty and obedience, and learn to set that example before one another. (Hebrews 12.1-3)
