Pray for the Senator of Colorado: Mr. Michael Bennet

Let us pray for the Senator of Colorado, Mr. Michael Bennet, that he would successfully take part of leading this state according to justice, equity, wisdom, and righteousness as commanded in the Word of the Lord.

  1. Pray for the conversion of Senator Bennet, that he would represent the state of Colorado as one who will give account to God, truly and sincerely professing his allegiance to Him alone. (Psalm 2.10-12)
  2. Pray that the Senator would recognize his position as a minister of God for good, that he would promote good according to God’s Word, and discourage and punish evil, again, as a minister of God for good rather than rewarding and encouraging evil. (Romans 13.1-6)
  3. Pray for wisdom for the Senator that he would execute a godly civil magistracy with humility, integrity, and honor as a representative of the state of Colorado.
  4. Pray that the Senator would seek to glorify God as he works to strengthen the agricultural economy, strives to expand access for cleaner energy, investigates options to improve the state economic and employment conditions, and that he mighty equally and fairly represent both rural and urban Colorado. (Job 31.9-11)
  5. Pray that as Senator Bennet serves on the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, the Committee on Finance, and the Select Committee on Intelligence, that he does so with uprightness and integrity in a manner that minimizes partisan politics and people-pleasing but rather encourages cooperation and mutual dedication for the good and positive improvement of the nation in a manner that is in accordance with the Word of God. (Ephesians 6:6, Proverbs 10:9)
  6. Pray that the Senator would succeed in his endeavors to do good for the state of Colorado, according to the standard of morality set forth in the Scripture and not according to the ever-shifting cultural definition of good. (Deuteronomy 17.14-17)
  7. Pray that the Lord would keep and protect the Senator’s family, especially during his long absences while away in the nation’s capitol.
