Wholesome Cooperation among Faithful Churches

Pray for Godly Cooperation among Confessionally Reformed Churches (Acts 11.19-30; Colossians 4.7-18)

  1. Pray for our confessionally reformed Churches, that we would honor our confessional commitments having their genesis in the Scriptures, encouraging one another in our confessed doctrinal integrity, and working together to promote these common Scripture doctrines in the wider Church. (Titus 2.1)
  2. Pray for cooperation without compromise among our confessional reformed Churches, that we might unite in our shared beliefs against decline in the visible Church, working together for reformation. (Philippians 2.25)
  3. Pray that the Lord would hasten the day when the ministers of the Gospel would “lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the Lord shall bring again Zion;” that the Lord would even today bring a greater cooperation between faithful ministries against the decline of our society. (Isaiah 52.8)
  4. Pray for a less competitive attitude, and a more cooperative one, among faithful, reformed Churches, that we may stand together with alacrity, candor, openness, in presenting the whole counsel of God to the weary world around us, and that together we would distance ourselves from those portions of the visible Church that are apostate. (Jeremiah 51.45-50)
  5. Pray concerning those Churches that have gone astray, and imbibed in the spirit of the age, those that have tolerated and embraced doctrines of devils, that hearing the truth as it is in Christ from faithful Churches, and learning to adhere to the Word of the Lord, the Lord would be pleased to grant repentance and reformation. (Revelation 2.18-29)
  6. Pray for continued reformation among our reformed Churches, that through cooperation and communication we may learn to set and example before one another, and follow those Biblical examples among us, that we may follow those best practices in accord with Christ and His Word. (1 Thessalonians 1.6; 2.14)
  7. Pray that this cooperation would advance the Church of Christ in truth, in purging of error, in greater whole-life devotion to the Lord, in greater adherence to Biblical norms and a restoration of the Scriptures as the only rule of faith and obedience, that we might strive together for the purity of the bride of Christ. (Ephesians 5.25-27; Philippians 1.27-30)
  8. Pray that this cooperation might be founded upon love for Christ, love for one another in Him, and a godly desire in all these efforts to advance His Name in the world, and to lay our won honor in the dust. (John 13.35; Psalm 7.1-17)
