Zechariah 1:1-6

Encouragement to the people

People need to return to the Lord

Coming of the Messiah

Zechariah - name means the Lord remembers

v2 - "Thus says the Lord of Host" x3

v3- Return to Me - stop the old ways and turn to Christ

v4- Do not be like your ancestors- evil they did not listen to God

There is an urgency in life to turn to God - there may not be a tomorrow

• Need for repentance - Hold fast to God
• Return to God
• God will receive us when we repent
• God forgives
